Safari in Selous and Mikumi Safari is probably the only classic Safari to Southern Circuit of Tanzania and we offer you the best of it. Starting and ending at Dar es Salaam this safari takes you to the Greater Selous Ecosystem and give you the rare chance to experience real African Wilderness in the few untouched areas of Tanzania.
Early morning after breakfast at 0800hrs pickup from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive to Selous Game Reserve. You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 5hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. In the afternoon embark on boat safari, where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Meals and overnight will be at Ngalawa Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner.
Breakfast in your accommodation followed by full day game drives in the reserve. Selous is a home to large population of elephant, big number of buffalo and wild dog. Morning after breakfast, full day game viewing in the park. The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the park along with the bordering mountain ranges. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, hippo and elephant. The Mikumi elephants are mainly grazers and do not causes damage. Dinner and overnight will be at Camp bastian mikumi.
